You should check your dvd players compatibility here:
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

Check to see if your player will even play +/-R(RW). If it does, see what media works best with your player.

bigdad, newer players all play both formats, that is, + and -, and R and RW. Well, just about all, there are a few exceptions. If it's playing in your PC and not your player, my bet is your media is not compatible with your player.

New players are cheap! I just bought the Philips DVP 642 for 65.00 at WalMart for DVD testing purposes. It plays R,RW,+, and -. It also plays Divx and mpeg files. It has a zoom feature and it's BIOS can be upgraded from a CD.

The site flip suggested is excellent to check your player's compatibilty. That site has a lot of useful info for all kinds of software and their guides. I keep it on my desktop.

Good luck.....
