DVD+R question

Hi guys. I've been reading and reading for the last couple of days trying to learn as much as I can. Anyways, I'm getting my PS2 modded soon and just recently got a new computer with a DVD+R writer. I was pretty excited until I saw that most people here believe that -R media is the way to go.
I have a version 3 PS2. I played a +R backup of a DVD movie on my PS2 with no problem. My question is, can I assume that it will read +R backup games if it will read +R backup movies?
If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

if it reads +r movies, it should read +r games. just use good media like ritek or verbatim.
