DVD Backup does not play on DVD Player

I have copied 'the green mile' onto DVD. I have used dvd de-crypter, shrink and copied in Roxio 6. I have had 2 successful backups recently. What am i doing wrong as ir reada 'error' on the dvd player!

Brand type media=packard Bell + RW

General PC specs - hp pavillion 5600
Celeron 2.6
256 MB

I have copied to dvd with shrink and used roxio 6 and it was successful - although it never worked those first times. The dvd plays on the laptop with media player but is not recognised in the home dvd player - shows 'error' when hit play button. It has recognised the two other dvds i had already copied.

Going mad trying to work it out. I am sure it is something minor (i hope) - thank you in advance.

any other info missing?

I put it in again X 4 and it works???

Is my dvd player needing a clean - would this cause such probs??
