DVD/Recorder device stopped functioning

My DVD/Recorder was workin for one year(Warranty covered, now it suddenly stopped working.
Symptoms: The recorder was not responding to any functions(Play, stop, eject,etc.) so I turned off the power switch.

Now, the light for the "ON/STANDBY" switch is very dim and the unit is not responding at all.
Is this a Power related problem or can I reset this unit by by following some procedure.

Maybe you would get some answers -- if you post in ""DVD recorders"" Section of the Forum.

One of the mods may move you there -- be patient !
