How to flash frimware on external usb 2.0 DVR-108

I am having problems flashing my external burner. When i run the program, it does not see my dvd burner. Is there a special program for flashing external dvd burner. My burner is an internal DVR-108 with external usb 2.0 casing. Can somebody help me please, i need to flash my burner. I keep on having problems burning in high-speed. Thank You

done some searching and found this posting hope it helps- Hi i am new to the forum but have been lurking and reading tons of info this is a great forum. Anyways i have been having problems flashing updated firmware onto my new 108 and couldnt find any answer so i contacted Pioneer and found out that if u have a unit that is black the firmware update on the US site will not work for the drive, however u can update it on the Japaneese site here is a link:

Make sure to choose the 108-BK download, run, and bingo updated firmware to ver 1.14. Just thought id pass it on to any others who may be as frustrated as i was trying to install the stuff.
