Well i'll be dam'd, i put in the Imation DVD-R that i used for Burnout 3 wich works in my PS2 to see what the Manufacturer ID was and it shows "Ritek G03"! lol WOW!... I guess my PS2 V4 don't like G04, just G03. The DVD G04 are perfectly fine no scratches or cracks. They have the Silver Matte top, is tha t the problem?

Everybody who is getting to it works sounds like they have version 10 or something.. I think the problem is the version ps2 i have a v5-6 w/ no solder chip and tried action replay and dvd loader.. I will try using dvd loader with swap magic disk and see if that work but i don't think it will work. My friend has a version 7 or 8 with magic chip and doesn't have any of these problems.. Yet every games works for me except. 007 , truecrime, and these 2005 ea games. I see the same people having problems with these games over and over again so I wanna know who with a v4 or v5-6 gets these to work???

I have a version 4 PS2 with a Neo 2.2 chip. I am able to play backups of Madden 2005 and NCAA 2005 without problems. Initially, I was having problems, and tried just about everything, including swapping laser units with no success. I burned the games using multiple types of media, and with a few different software. I was using gameshark. I then switched to swapmagic, and both games work including all of the many copies that I made. Only encountered the need to use swap magic for the EA games, as gameshark has been working for me for a few years now.

If you want to get dvd loader working your supposed to burn it onto a cdr and boot with swap magic cd version. Worked fine for me. I'm not sure about this ea sports issue though i heard it is some sort of new copy protection made by EA.

Well for me it was my lens, it wasn't set on correct height, after adjusting it madden booted right up, altho it's slow and somtimes freezes.

all u need to do to make it work is download Disc ID Insertor v2.1 that makes it work like magic

That will help it stop skipping/freezing? both madden and Def Jam FFNY are doing that. I never used Disk ID Insertor ever, so i duno what it does or how it works, i will try searching on it to understand, but if you don't mind quick explaining it to me that be coo.

disc id inserter could help online play but not making it boot.. I tried an unpatched version and didn't work

Ah thanks, well i don't have an adapter so i don't need to worry bout online errors or DNAS. Mabey i need to adjust my lens a tad bit more, i got it to boot just need it to play smooth, or mabey i need a firmware upgrade on my LiteOn 812s, i did read ppl having problems with that and ritek g04, i really hate to have to do that, cuz i have never done anything like that before, don't wanna do that unless i got lotta help.

I have Swap Magic 2.0 DVD and a Slide Tool and Madden And
every other EA game without any patches or anything.
Just made a image in Alchohol 120% and burned at 4X

It's only the very latest ea games that are having trouble.
What games did you backup?

Whats the point in advertising all over the forums if you don't even have it. All there is is a fliptop and some swap magic discs not to mention the fake looking pictures of staff.

well i have a fifa 2005 backup and it works. It cant be patched cuz it says on the swap magic (cd v3 / dvd v2) that you no longer need to patch EA games, however i am looking to get some EA games ssx3 in particular.
But hopefully DVD Loader works.

c'mon. it has been well established that for all of the newer ea games to work correctly, the DNAS needs to be patched...(whether you intend to pay them online or not)

well I know you need to get a DNAS id patch, but he/she asked wether you need a patch to play them in general... I'm not playing mine online so im not fussed and fifa05 sucks, gimme pro evo anyday. But as I said my swap magic doesnt need EA games to be patched, but of course you will need a patch to get a DNAS id for any online game after Madden04.. any game, not just EA titles, and that is just for online.
That may have sounded like a rant but theres no malicious intent.

Ooh i just noticed on another topic, that although the game for me works unpatched.. and cutscenes are rather slow, but you need to patch the DNAS for it to run flawlessly why is that, as the DNAS is only needed if you are going online??
EDIT: Sorry dude my bad, didnt read your post correctly, i thought u said u need the DNAS patch for it to actually boot.

sure, DNAS serves to authenticate online gaming, but the way the games are programmed, especially with sports games doing multiple saves and settings load-ups, DNAS doubles as a copy protection obstacle :p doing the patch thang will allow you to get over this, no skips, bumps etc in sounds/cutscenes, and make your backup online capable :)

I just thought I would let everyone know i was having problems with the new ea sports games and then i rented the new espn nba game and it didn't work as well even tho the football worked fine.. I never had anyproblems before using AR with my v5-6 ps2, so ordered swap magic and it solved all my problems all my backups work now, including a few that didn't work way back when.. I highly suggest everyone would doesn't have a true modchip switch over to swap magic if u have any problems.

TW 2005 is loading up for me fine but when I try to play and scenario it freezes up during the loading process. I haven't had any problems myself with any other EA sports title, Madden, NCAA football, NHL 2005 etc.. all work with no problems for me. Burned on Ritek G04 at 1x with Nero and I'm using a Majic 4.1 mod chip.

i read somewhere that tiger woods 2k5 is being recalled because of some freezing at loading screens so it's proably not your copy. I had it freeze on me once but restarted and got past it.. i haven't played it alot tho yet.

I am new at this. I use DVD Decrypter, a flip top case, v7 ps2 with swap magic, Memorex dual layer dvd burner and I am unable to burn games. Is there anyone that can give me a step by step guide? I am trying to burn Madden 2005 with no luck and I can't afford to keep wasting dvds. I use fujifilm dvd +r disk. Thanks for any help you can give me.

What exactly is the problem you are having? Is it failing to burn or is it jsut not loading? DVD dycrypter is pretty easy to use. Make sure you are in ISO mode then rip and then burn. I wouls suggest burning at 1x. Maybe try using "-" disks if you can. Some people have had trouble using "+".
THere must be something to this "glitch" becasue I used the orriginal of TW 2005 and played through the next session & the first round of the "season" or what ever they are calling it this year (just to be safe) and now I have no problems using the backup. So Make sure you use the orriginal until you defeat the guy with teh earings and the soul patch. Hell I forget his name now but I think he's the first guy in the scenario section (where you get the medals)that you have to beat. After that you should be good.
