when trying to burn a movie from my computer to dvd, my program wont let me (intervideo windvd creator ) start burning it to dvd disks , an error comes up sayin "the output format u chose is not compatable with the disk type " i have tried a few different brands of dvd-r and dvd-rw and all say the same .

So im wondering if there is something you have to do to the disks first format or anything or could it be that the program im using jsut doesnt suport dvd disks because i have burnt movies on to jsut regular cd-r and cd-rw and they work fine jsut quality isnt great

What format are the files on your hard drive? Are they AVI, a ripped DVD or something different?
