Is the Duo2 same as Neo12?

According to all the guides I can see on the web, the Duo2 and Neo12 function in the same way. Are they based on the same chip as I cannot get backed up PS2 games to work using my Neo12 and was considering trying a Duo2.

I wouldnt try duo2 chip Lotta freakin work... Did you try adjusting your laser pot? potentiometer
