Yes use DVD Shrink

DVD 5 = single layer DVD 4.7GB
dvd 9 = Dual Layer DVD 8.5GB

Yours is a dual layer DVD burner
but you can use either dual or single (depending on needs)

Also you can use either -R or +R
again your preference (-r seems to play in more stand alone DVD players)

And Yes Ritek GO4 or GO5 are good to use

Additions / clarification:

DVD-5's are less than 4.36 GB and be copied without compression. They can give you a 1:1 copy.

DVD-9's are larger than 4.36GB and require compression when burning to a single disc in a non-dual layered mode. Using a dual layered disc they can be copied giving you a 1:1 copy.

A DVD+R is a superior disc.

In older standalone players (2 years or more) -R discs were more popular. In newer players. it makes no difference as they'll play a small mushroom pizza if the cheese isn't too thick :P)

Many other $$$$ proggys are better than DVD Shrink.

DVD Shrink is the best FREE proggy.

Cheers,

Pete

Navig8r,

Hey there guy, there wasn't anything wrong with your post - I just tried to make it ultra-simple for Newbies.

There wasn't anything at all that needed correction -

You'll notice I said additions and clarification and that's all I did, I just put exactly what you said in a simplier form -

Ya done fine "Kiddo", don't take offence -

Pete
