If money is no object, TY any day. Japanese quality vs Taiwanese bulk? No competition quite honestly.

Besides, G05 seems to be inferior to the old G04, and firmware support has been patchy.

G05 is 8x.

If you download DVDInfoPro this will tell you what type of disc you have.

A good G04 disc is a very good disc, and I have no hesitation in recommending them as a great budget media, but they don't match any of the Japanese manufacturers IMHO.

hey i use dvd shink and DVD Decrypter...have you noticed after you have burnt the disc there is a real dark swirl around the disc and when you watch it all it does is skip and stop how do you prevent this?? i use ritek discs???do you anything about this? has it happened to you?
