I only have a +R burner - are the Ritek +R's as good as their -R's with that constraint?

Well now that you said that, it all depends on your version of PS2. Only v4 PS2 and higher will play DVD+R. If your PS2 is higher than a v4, then you should be okay with the Ritek DVD+R. Make sure they are Ritek G04 DVD+R 4x.

Good Luck!

I've got a Toshiba SD-R5112.

I typically use Princo disks but they had run out at the store so I thought I would get RiData disks, 4X. I don't know what type they are exactly though, but they are DVD-R. However when I try to burn in Alcohol, when I set at 1x they always burn closer to 4x so I've been burning at 2x instead (on the disk spindle it says 2x/4x. Can they not be written in 1x? Also I've noticed that I have had issues playing backups whereas it was non-existant before with Princo. IE freezing in mid-game, whereas typically the copy works or it doesn't at all, not while the game is playing.

I had heard Ritech/Ridata disks were typically the best but I've only had problems with this 25-pack spindle... Any ideas?
