VOB to MOV or AVI uncompressed!

Hi, this is my first post, so please let me know if I'm in the wrong forum.

I have a DVD from a cable access show (transfered from a lower quality source), and I've promised my friend that I'd be able to rip it and compress it for web delivery. I already have Discreet Cleaner for web compression, so I'm looking for a good DVD ripper with the following features, and I've had no luck so far:

* the ability to set in and out points if I don't want to rip the whole DVD, which requires some kind of timeline
* the ability to output to .mov or .avi uncompressed (for short clips) if possible. Cleaner will do all the downsampling and compressing I need.
* it doesn't need to strip CSS

Do any of you know of or use a reliable tool that fits this description?
