i have the easiest way of copying ps2 games. First get nero insert a ps2 disc in your DVD BURNING DRIVE. Then go start nero express and click on BOOTABLE DATA DISC and place all contents on ps2 disc to the data menu. When done take the ps2 disc out of drive and insert a blank DVD+r or+RW although i dont recommend DVD-r because they cause bug problems. after u have inserted the blank DVD disc just click burn and wah la u have a quick made ps2 game. if any1 else has qucik methods or other methods of backing up ur ps2 games then feel free to post what method u have :)

What are you talking about? -r is the most compatible format for the ps2.

I agree with sly. It sounds like you don't know what you are talking about. DVD-R's work on every PS2 and DVD+R's only some on certain versions. And you should never use RW's; they hardly ever work.

BTW, there is an easier and faster way. It is called DVD Decryptor.

If you are going to give advice, please make sure you get your facts straight. If not, you will only confuse and piss people off.

Good intentions, but bad information!

I have a liteon 812s and my Ritek DVD-R G04 arn't playing in my PS2 V4 with Swap Magic 2.0, however a Ritek G03 works just fine. I duno if it's my burner with them or my PS2 V4 don't like G04 or what.

I use 2x, i would do 1 but there support at 2-4x so i can't, or my burner wont do 1x, i use DVD Decrypter iso-read then iso-write. I tried loading the game in and i just get the pink border in the screen after swaping with swapmagic 2.0, so i thought mabey it needs DVD loader, so i burnt the iso and sure enough i got the pink border as well with DVD Loader. If my lens was dirty, the g03 wouldn't boot, that boots up everytime, i burnt that no differnt then i have tried with the g04.

I use DVD-decryptor, just make an iso on ur HD, burn it with WHATEVER burn prog u have( it realy doesn't matter so much u know). and there u go.

I have a PS2 V-7 with matrix infinity v1.21.
80GB "free" HD loader.

and I ALWAYS use RITEK G-04 A-grade, purple dye.
but DVD+R works also, but i like to stick to the DVD-R.

I also burned burnout 3 to a DVD+RW, but the games froze and bliked and stuff u know.

so i do not use them anymore for copieing games to my HD. (not needed since threre is FAPlink and all kinds of FTP servers nowadays)

PS2 V-7
HDLOADER 80 GB
MATRIX INFINITY
