DVD-R scracthy noises

Is it normal for a DVD-r backup of a ps2 game to make more scratchy noises when loading than the original copy. My copy works fine, it's just that the scratchy noises are slightly louder, but it's not that loud. I'm just concerned. So is this normal, and will i get the same results if i use Ritek G04

i'm currently using sony dvd-r dmr47l2, the ones u get at staples.
