strange nobody has tried this out( from what I know)
If you have a NTSC-based game and you want to play it on a PAL TV.
You can do that without patches and stuff like that:here goes:
start with the dvd swapdisc , swap it with the 'dvdloader' ,press x and select 'reboot'( the first one); switch again with the dvd swapdisc, and finally with the ntsc backup, and what happened, the game is in color!

It worked with burnout3 and ghosthunter ,but not with star ocean 3
I have a v7 with flip top
anyone can confirm this?...

well, on the dvdloader pressing 'square', changes the output from PAL to NTSC
so give it a try..

I've tried the same thing on my brotherinlaw's tv( it's 10 years old, so not NTSC compatible):
started with swapmagic cd-disc, clicked the PAL-mode, swithed with the cdloader,then the sw-dvd and the games are in color
so choosing the NTSC-mode for PAL-games ,should work too...

i already posted that in multiple topics regarding ntsc > pal and vice versa
only i did it somewhat different
insert swap magic cd version, refresh toc by putting in dvd game, select video mode of choice swap hit x

but it works like a charm
