Hi Everybody--
I have been reading this thread often and have written a couple times--really appreciate all your help--I now burn copies of my DVD's easily--most of the time. Today, I purchased "Eternal Sunshine" DVD and am trying to make a backup--I usually start with Shrink--which I did in this case--But it stops almost immediately asnd says Shrink is unable to read--Next, I tried my DVDXcopy and even before the first disk was burned, it stopped completely---Anyway--Then I remember bigorange told me that he sometimes uses Decryptor first and then Shrink--So, I tried that--and it worked--at least I got the Disk decrypted--saved it as an ISO file and put it on my desktop--Now, I guess I need step by step instructions on how I can put it through Shrink--I think I am supposed to use "Open File" then browse to Shrink--but after that I am lost--can anyone help me with easy to follow instructions on how I can put this file thru Shrink--then what? I can burn with any number of programs--just stuck getting to that point--really appreciate anyones time in helping me do this--

I had a problem similar to this where i had used decryptor first and then shrink. after decryptor you will need to choose the re-author tab on the shrink. that is the only way i got past the problem i had.

Hello Whitfield! Welcome to A/D. You are there and all you need to do is bring up shrink click on open file and it should come up and show in another window your desktop. Choose the file you have placed there and it will open in Shrink. When the button turns green click on it and sit back and Shrionk will do the rest.

Hi there whitfield,

It is really simple, to access your ISO image, Open DVD Shrink, Go to your tool bar, click on "File", then choose "Select Disc Image", then choose your ISO Image and allow DVD Shrink to anaylze it then use DVD Shrink as you normally do :)

(Life is good isn't it - :)

Burn on my friend, burn on . . . .

Cheers,

Pete

I had that problem too--try running the movie through Decryptor first--available at this site for free--then you can put it thru Shrink to compress so it fits on one disk--let us know how you make out--

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) Usually means a dirty or scratched disk. Clean and try again.
