Burning DVDs with a Sony 1 to 2 Duplicator

The Sony 1 to 2 Duplicator states "Your master must be non-copy protected and it is in DVD-5 format (or less than 4.7GB capacity)" It comes with an 80GB Hard Drive.

Question: Can I install DVD shrink and/or DVD decrypter on this stand alone & burn DVDs directly, just like I would on a PC or will this not work?

Has anyone any experience burning their movies as backups with a stand alone & with copyright protection?
