DVD bakup burned with toast 6 titanium (Apple, OS X)

Does anyone have experiance with making backups on an Apple computer(Powerbook G4), running OS X, Toast 6 titanium?
What are the conclusions?

Should I upgrade my windows 1Ghz comp with a DVD writer to run the windows aplications to make the backups??

Thinking to inplant an Infinity chip in my ps2....

What would be the best to do?

Making a backup with Toast couldn't be easier:) Just pop the PS2 game into your Mac and save it as a Disc Image. That's all there is to it!

Have you backed up games with mac before, or just read it somewhere??

I tried it myself a couple of times and it worked. In Toast, use the CD/DVD Copy option in the Copy menu and save it as a disc image. The disc image is then ready to be burned

I did it before, but those where just CDR games, not DVD, PS1.

I tried a DVD once, tried to play it on a PS2 that was not mine( don't know what modchip was in it), that did not work.
could be the medium i used, or the speed...I should try it again to be sure.
Just wanted to know if Toast does the job for others...if so, it is worth installing a modchip to play DVD backups.
