NRG BURNING..HELP PLEASE!!!

Can anyone help me out here...i recently dled a .nrg file of da net- splinter cell 1 for ps2 and when i tried to burn it using nero 6 it gave me a message of "foreign image type" and a pop up box appeared asking me to select the type of image it was, ie, data mode 1, data mode 2 etc..anyways the problem is i selected data mode 1 and i gave me a message saying that the size doesnt match the image type or sumfing...but i ignored the message and burnt the damn thing anyways...but after burning it i tried to run it in my ps2 and it wont run...the ps2 can read the dvd as a ps2 game disc but it wont start...can anyone help me out here? thx in advance!
