Well, you can buy DVD ClonerII, or you can download Shrink and used Nero or Maybe Roxie DVD burner program. You can go to the forums that talk about burning DVD on a PC and specifically using Shrink and other programs. You will just have to down the various programs and see which works for you. You can find the download spots in the forums. Best of luck!!

Do you know how to convert AVI and DIVX files etc to MPEG or JPEG or other forms that a Home DVD player will read and play. Also how to get DVD's we buy to download on a 4.7 Gb DVD RW disk opposed to DVD 9. Also what makes my DVD burner good??? Thank you very much for all of your help. If I download Nero will I need to uninstall Sonic? Will there be any conflicts between the 2? Thanks Daniela

Don't know about Nero/Sonic. I don't like Nero. You can look at the forum and search the forums and find the answer to the MP3 conversion. I would think if you search VersionTracker.com you could find software that will convert AVI files, anyway.

You will find a bunch of info to your questions if you take the time to read some of the responses on the forum...the various Forum topics. You will get the pros and cons of various techniques which one person cannot give you. Then try out for yourself. There is nothing so satisfying as self discovery !

I am happy some one out there was finally knowelegable enough to assist me in my needs after days of searching. So thanks again everyone. Also every one keeps saying Nero is a 30 day trial before you have to buy, any one know why mine is only a 14 day trial? Daniela

Because you installed it in the middle of the trial period. Nero does it monthly. Next month you can actually download and use the trial version for another 30 days.

Don't buy DVD Cloner II. Download for free DVD Shrink. I just downloaded it 2 days ago and am very happy with it. It has a great easy to follow guide and it is easy for any one to do.I love it. What kind of DVD burning software do you have on your PC?

Kirk...did u try Shrink w/ Sonic burning software? I could not get it to work w/ Sonic.....I brought DVD Cloner II...and LOVE it!....It works w/ Sonic..and it's cheaper than Nero.....what will u do after the 30 day Nero trial? Buy Nero?

I had major difficulties w/ Shrink..once I did get it to back up the movie...I couldn't burn it w/ Sonic...I found it very complicated and frustrating, especially after waiting the hour back up time.......although I do have Shrink saved for a rainy day.....

Just curious regarding Sonic w/ Shrink

No I just downloaded the Nero free trial. I will probablly download it again after my trial. Or I will by the Nero 6.6 Ultra from ebay since it is as a buy it now for only $25.00 or bid one the item since bids are started at $0.01 opposed to $99.00 on Nero's website. But with downloading Nero and having DVD Shrink it is awesome. This is the easiest software/program I have ever used. You do not usually get a good help guide with free downloads but this is a good one.

I never tried it with Sonic so not sure. Also I have Sonic and I do not care much for it since I have a DVD +/- RW with the dual layer so when I try to make copies of my DVD's it will not let me bec I need to put in a DVD 9 disk whcih I refuse to buy since they are $45.00 for a 3 pack. So I also needed something that willl convert those big files to fit on a 4.7 GB disk. I also like DVD Shrink bec I can get rid of those stupid subtitles and credits etc, so when I put the disk into my home DVD player, it cuts to the chase and just starts the movie right away. I enjoy not having to go through all those steps just to start a DVD!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah......

SO these are my personal opinions as stated from people who responded to my threads it is up to you download them or buy them and see what works best for you and what you like best. What works great for me might not be the same for others. Me personally I like the easiest quickest methods and after the amount of days I spent downlaoding and uninstalling numerous programs i was trying this one by far hits a 10 on my chart. I hope this helped. Daniela
