I want to back up Man on Fire from a Back up DVD of Man on Fire. I was told all I had to do was copy paste to my hard drive, then burn. That sounded right since its already been ripped and shrunk, but when I went to burn with nero it said the file was to large to fit on 4.7G DVD+R. The entire Man on Fire is 4.37G. Whats the deal? Do I need to shrink again? WIll that degrade quality?

Welcome
I never did it that way and I am not sure if it will even work. I would just "copy" disk with Nero

Was the first backup on a dvd-r? A dvd-r actually has just a little more space than a dvd+r. Try useing the same dvd format w/ Nero copy disc.

Yes the original was on a DVD-R. Never thought about that! Thanks alot. One question: available space on my CD+R's (Memorex) is 4.378G...I thought they were 4.7G's where's the rest of the space?

I forgot the answer to that, but 4.378 is all you get.
