I have to agree with vurbal and Nephilim. CMC has created far more problems than they have solved. It's obvious reading previous posts of people haveing playback problems. They were useing memorex or some other brand name disc. Then you ask for the media code, chances are it is CMC. You suggest they try some different media like TY, Ritek, Ricohjpn, Verbatum, or branded Sony. They either thank you or are never heard from again. Enough said.

Sorry mate. If this forum is to be credible, you should have some respect to other peoples point. If you are a Newbie, then we can treat you are being rude. But you are a moderator.
A moderator role in these forum is to police the discussion and make sure people like NakedGeek are under control.
Judging by your last comment it seems you have no respect for the spirit of the forum and those people involved.

My comment had nothing to do with his point about media. It had to do with the ridiculousness of his comment and I full well know it was harsh. I'm human just like everyone else here and this morning I had no patience for a smartass remark like that.

In case you fellows weren't aware of it I was the one that tried to clean up that thread and eventually banned several users, NakedGeek included, after they repeatedly ignored my warnings to stay on topic. Just because I'm a moderator doesn't mean I can't have an opinion. I take on moderating duties in addition to doing what I've always done at AD.

If you want to judge my commitment and respect for this site by one post then so be it but keep in mind that I wasn't asked to be a moderator because I have a pattern of bashing people on a regular basis.

Nobody is saying that CMC is better than TY, MCC or Ricoh. Of course it isn't, but does that mean it's bad media?
I don't think so. I have just tested (transfer rate; scandisc; disc quality) a couple of CMC discs that i have burned 4 months ago and they are perfect.

I for one 100% support the ban on NakedGeek and appreciate your action. But you strayed the same path as NakedGeek when you call other people stupid simply because someone asked a question which you are not in a mood to answer.
I agree with Bytor, the discs may not be better than MCC and TY, but definately not in the same league as those trash being sold and talked about in these forum.
Maybe Vurbal is right, jury is still out until CMC proved themself.

Until I see otherwise my jury is in for CMC. I've seen way to many folks having trouble with them. Maybe CMC will get better thaqn they are now.

I am definately not stupid (I Think I am not) and thanks for the site, I'll pass to my daughter.
If you are Pee off with my comment, then it your problem not mine. I am just stating the fact as I see it.
I think I have a better EQ than to continue a slanging match with you. I'm here to contribute and learn from this forum.
Understand Vurbal's point. Let see if the latest CMC dye will satisfy you. So far I am happy with it.

I stand open to correction on this but were the crap CMC CDR's not produced in a plant in Ireland that has since closed. Hence would it not stand to reason that quality could have improved ?
