Unable to Format/Erase DVD-RW Media

Hi There
I can not format my DVD-RW discs they are Ritek x4
my burner is a Pioneer dvd105 and in the past no worries at all burning disc's I went to format/erase them and nero tells me
illegal Disc please insert a re-writable disc

How do I format these discs as my stand alone Toshiba DVD/HHD recorder says the disc needs to be unlocked !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have tried A120 as well but its the same unable to format
any help would be great

Hmmmm....try dvdinfopro, use the free version, it will erase and reformat RW discs. You can get it at www.dvdinfopro.com and iit is very handy for analyzing media, burners, drives, and a bunch of other neato stuff!!:>)

I got the download and went to the format option and it is telling me Drive did not report ready !!!....i have flashed the drive with the latest firmware 133 and the driver is 5.1.2535.0 ....if the drive does not see the disc , yet it plays and burns no worries and I was told that this media deffinatly works with Pioneer 105's
