I was wondering if anybody was able to make a successfull backup of these games?? I created an image using DVD Decrypter and burn it using Alcohol 120%. However whenever I go to boot them on my v9 PS2 usng swap magic all i get is a black screen? I'm using RiData DVD-r's which I have used in the past for other backups and had no problems.

Is there a new protection on games now or something which prevents making backups?

Any ideas on how to fix this??

Thanx

I made a backup of pes4, it works fine, maybe it's your media, try a different brand, you could try using cdvdgen to make your backups, that's how I made mine, although it's not strictly a backup cause I DL'd it, use the guide for single dvd to dvd here http://www.home.zonnet.nl/joeriroels/Download/DVD_games%20DVDRIPS%20and%20CD%20games_on_a_DVD_-JRLS.htm

and you can get all the stuff needed here http://home.zonnet.nl/joeriroels/Download/download.html

I used Decrypter to get the ISO and burn it. You could use Nero, too. I just make sure I am offline and Norton Antivirus autoprotect is off.

I had problems backing up my movies too, but turning off Norton fixed it.

if you have a slow machine and/or not much ram this could be a problem, but i very often leave my BB running and norton AV and FW running with no prob's, burning movies is a bit different because that uses more resources, so it can screw up your film if you don't shut all your background prog's down, so it's possible that it could be that, depnds on how many dvd's you want to use to find out though, do both and you should get a better result.

I run a 3.2 P4/hyperthreading with a gig of RAM, so it isn't really a resource prob. I havn't had a problem with games when I forget to turn them off. It may just be the DVD program I use. I don't use Nero or Decrypter to burn movies.

Anyway... good luck!
