I'm going to buy a new burner, and the title is what I'm debating. I always see that people are so happy with their plextor premium, and it seems to backup anything. I was wondering how the liteon compares, because it's only 30 dollars apposed to the 80 for a plextor premium. Any info greatly appreciated.

those are older models but the same differences still apply. Speeds on newer one have maxed out now on Cd Burners.

If you're goal is to back up games the Plex Premium is worth every penny. There hasn't been a game yet that mine hasn't been able to back up and so far none of my copies have required emulation either :)
