while backing up a movie the software at the 52% point of analysing the disc encounted an error, "dvd shrink encounted an error and cannot continue failed to read file e data error(cyclic redundancy check)" Does any one know what this meansand how do correct it.

Hi Anthony. :)

This usually indicates a dirty or physically damaged (scratched) disc. ;)

If this is not the case, let us know what DVD you're having this problem with.
