DVD version of Disc ID Util.

I've read numerous posting of people not being able to obtain valid DiscID's from originals. I too am having this problem. I burn DiscID util to a CD, boot it and then insert the Original DVD....no go. I hit X and get ramdon ID's. I can't turn off the chip due to the power button issue (after disc is inserted). So.... I assume the DVD version will solve this issue?

Can someone post a link to the DVD version??
