I tried to burn a copy it went fine, but when i played the game after i finish a mission it just goes to a black screen. Does anyone know why is that? Anyone burn a successful copy of this game? thanks

if your using swapmagic to boot your backup then you need to use cd loader aswell check out http://www.swapmagicfix.com/ for more info

i did use dvd loader. Is it just a bad burn? it's not the dvd i use because all my backed up games work fine.

no i did not i used the 2nd choice..i'll try it out right now.. thanks

Another thing is max payne a dvd or a regular cd? I don't have my original with me it's at my friends house. i used a dvd-r to burn this game

ok just tried it with the beta 3 option and it's worse than the first time. I can't even play the game now. The main menu is there and so is the story, but after the story ends it goes back to the black screen.

was sure i used the beta 3 splinter cell option last time i played, will have to check it out later as don't have access to my ps2 at the moment, and yes max payne is a dvd based game

aww man i spoke too soon. It worked for a while it saved the first 2 levels then after that it went back to the blank screen. Any other suggestions?
