Nero Vision Express not Very Smooth help

Either it?s me of nero Express is crap.

I am currently converting some stuff I have from video to DVD but I?m using a home burner to do so, not my PC, I seem to be having problems with the encoding of NVE, I rip all the files with DVD Decrypter, then put all my files into Nero and put in chapters etc, go to burn the disc, 1 hour later all is finished and looks ok, but after playing back the disc the picture seems to be a bit jerky in places, I have tried using different media and the most expensive Discs like TDK and I still get the same result, the sound is fine, Its just the picture play back, it just seems to slow up in places,

I like using nero 6 because of the things you can add, like animated buttons and add sounds, I?ve looked around and cant see any other DVD authoring tool with the same features,
A lot of you guys say that DVD lab is good but I can?t find it anywhere??
