Converting a Region 2 PAL to Region 1 NTSC ??

I recently purchased a Region 2 PAL dvd off of e-bay. The reason for this is this dvd was never manufactured in a region 1 ntsc format and I've been looking for this title for some time now. I have somewhat of an idea on how to convert PAL to NTSC but I'm confused on the fact this is a region 2 dvd. I'd love to play this dvd in my standard dvd player and not the PC. Thank you.
