Ridata is the Ritek brand and Newegg supposedly sell's only the branded stuff...so if it says Ridata on the description it should be the discs you are looking for ....Now meritline and supermediastore.....not sure how they work...they sell alot of unbranded and I am not familiar with the hub branded disks....Branded should be on the actual disc....but I know those are becoming harder and harder to find.

Burn proof means, shows you on the bottem of the disk that it's been burnd, like if the bottem is a dark purple, once you burn with it enabled from the center to mid or edge of the disk turns transparent, depends on the file size.

throw it in your computer and run DVD Decrypter and let me know what dye it actually is. If they are ripping people off, i will stop buying and linking to them.

i don't have DVD Decrypter install. I return all discs back to them. They gave me RMA and UPS label. Wasting my time to drop off the package at ups drop off store. Before this unbranded dvd-r, i also got PIODATA brand (its like Ritek Dye, dark purple), but this time, i got totally unbranded and not know what dye, seem like their cheap dvd-r dye.
I really didn't make this up, but seem they try to make more profit with sending their cheap dvd-r, even you pay for Ritek brand.

Just looking at the color doesn't tell you much. You have to run it through a program to tell you who made the dye.
