Is it possible to burn and play dual layered dvds for a game such as GTA SA?

it has been done with limited success, alot depends of if your ps2 will read the dvd9+r discs

is there any way of finding out if it can read them. I mean, if i put a movie i recorded in there, and theat reads fine, does that mean it will read my game fine as well. I just tried to burn champions of Noroth, but the discs just spins weird in there. like it cant find it.
