I have a 30001 PS2. I use i believe what is called a swap method for backups (where i use no modchip i take the top off the ps2 do some more tearing apart place the gameshark in use without codes the place the backup in and away i go). I have had no problem playing cd r backups but ive tried a few times trying to burn dvd backups, ive tried +R -R nothing works i use dvd decrypter to make backups. ive used office depot and fujifilm dvd.

anyhelp would be great thanks

Dude, I have the same problem... i believe the 30001 version is a version 1 like mine.... I can play CD-R back-ups perfectly and I am also able to play DVD import games perfectly... but DVD back-ups are not working??... i used alcohol and decrypter and i also tried to use DVD Loader... here is the funny part, my PS2 will read my burned DVD Loader with no problem, so you'd figure it can read my backups too.. some one please HELP
