I have tony hawks underground 2 and after I have extracted the rar files I am left with a .bin and a .cue file.

I tried to burn with decrypter but it said that this is not a file type to burn onto a dvd, but i continued anyway and it hasn not worked.

What other apps can I use to burn this onto a disc?

oh yeah, when i extracted the the rar file a message saying that the header was corrupt appeared, is that a big deal?

I usually use record now max, but the file extansion I use with that is .gi, can i burn the .bin .cue file with this?

Thanks.

BIN and CUE???? These types of files are used for CD based games. ISO files are used for DVD based games. And THUG 2 is a DVD based game. Something sounds very wrong. Did you download the game? If so, you probably downloaded a bad file.

If you have a CD-R to spare, try and burn the BIN and CUE files to it using Nero or Alcohol. Then try and load it with the CD version of Swapmagic. Let me know if this works, I am curious.

Windows Xp
Sony?s Internal DVD±RW Drive DRU-530A
PS2 v5 Flip Top with SMD 2.0
Media: Ritek DVD-R G04 4x
DVD Decryptor, Nero & Alcohol 120%
CD/DVD Generator, ISO Buster
CD & DVD Loader

I was thinking that it should be an iso.
The file is only 832mb, so something must be wrong.
I don't use swap magic, my ps2 has a ripper 2 gold
in it.
I downloaded it from a torrent on supernova.

Thanks for you're help.

devilhunt,
What is a DVD-Rip? How does it differ from copying an ISO to your hard drive using DVD Decryptor?

a dvd rip is created by removing some of a game's content so you can burn a dvd based game on cdr for example you take a dvd based game and remove the fmv sequences and replace them with dummy files, maybe remove some of the audio like the music to reduce the file size down to a size that can be burnt on a cdr disc

Is it kind of like using DVD Shrink on movies? You use it to get rid of the extras and crap the you really don't need.

You have the choice of choosing one of these three programs.Dvddecrypter is not suitable for .bin and .cue files. The three programs are Alcohol 120%,Nero,or CDRWIN.I use Nero Express and all you have to do is place the .bin file, and the .cue file in a folder on your desktop must be located in the same place the .bin and .cue file.Open up Nero Express and click on disc image or saved project. When the screen comes up and ask you what file to browse for.Look for the .cue file, and open it up in the program.Devilhunt is right it is a dvd-rip,and a dvdrip is a game that has stuff ripped out of it.It could be the movies in the game,or certain parts of the game that are taken out of it.
