flip top installation problem

I might have fry my ps2 while trying to install the flip top. I dont now how it happen since i was no where near the power switch. Only problem i had was with the reset/power cable which got in the way and may have got pinch when i close the flip top. Any help is appreciated before i start running getting a new ps2.

if you damaged the reset/eject ribbon then that might be the problem, if this cable is damaged the ps2 won't turn on, what is happening when you try to use your ps2

nothing is happening. No light no power nothing at all. I'll look over the silver ribbon to see if it is loose but i also knock out the small battery on the side while i was getting the ribbon it fit under the flip top.
