Have you tried re-analysing it with Shrink? I burned an extra copy of Van Helsing after I had deleted it from my hard drive by putting the Backup DVD in the drive and doing the normal Shrink operation after that. Just a suggestion.

Sounds as your burnt disc was not properly burned. If it is already shrinked to fit a DVD5 - simply use Nero or similar program to do a disccopy.

Roxio disc-to-disc copy usually does this fine, as I've never had a screw up with making a copy from a copy using this method.

Use quality media :)

Both Nero's and Roxio's disc copy will work. Shrink and Decrypter will also work ... if you use quality media. If your source cannot be read/ripped you cannot back it up.

Yea and just remember if you copy on the fly it increases your chances for errors. I learned that the hard way over time.

Hi,
Blindwrite might be the thing for you in this case. It seems to make an image first then burns. Less chance for the copy on the fly errors. Its done a very good job for me in similer situations.

Cheers!

I am running into the same problems. I left my original dvd at home and brought my backup with me, however I am trying to make the dvd into divx and cannot load the VOB files onto my harddrive nor make a copy of the disk. It reads on any dvd player fine and the movie itself works great. I have tried DVD Decrypter and Nero to copy the disk without any luck. I am not trying to do on the fly.

So what I am really asking, is there any way to copy a copied dvd to your hard drive. If you require any more specifics, let me know and I will get them to you.

Thanks in advance

BiffBoj ,
This is what I do when I go on a trip.
1. Insert movie in DVD Drive
2. When it comes up cancel the action taken.
3. Make a folder on the desktop in the name of the movie you want to copy.
4. Go to Start> My Computer> You will now see the DVD Drive. Right click on the drive and select Open
5. Inside the folder will be 2 folders named AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS
6. Left click on the AUDIO_TS folder and slide it to the folder on the HD.
7. Do the same w/ the VIDEo_TS folder and now the movie is on the HD
