Backing up Robotech Invasion

Hi,
I am having troubles backing up robotech invastion for the ps2.
I have tried to backup the game using DVD Decryptor with just a straight iso copy and the sound has been comming out all weird.
The size of the iso says over 4 Gigs. I then look at the iso using iso buster and it said about 1.8 Gigs. I then extracted the files and recreated the iso image using $ony cd/dvd gen. in the same order iso buster and burned it on a dvd. I then tried to play it on my ps2 v5 with magic 3.1 and I said it was trying to load a saved games from the memory card and then went to a black screen and nothing happened.

Any Suggestions?
