I have a PS2 version 7 and I am new to backing up ps2 games. I would like to know is it possible to backup a game on a dvd rw disc. Meaning will a version 7 be able to read dvd rw discs. Because before I start wasting DVD-r media I would like to know if I have a good image burnt. What dvd rw media is suggested I buy for testing.
Does anyone know if this mod chip works? PS2 PnP Key No Solder Mod-Chip www.mod-chip.com/en/ps2nosolder.htm I am undecided what to purchase this mod chip or a flip top. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

Dont know about the modchips, but with the +/- RW media i dont see why you couldnt backup games, just a more expensive disc to buy. Once you get the hang on backing up games/dvds then u should turn to +/- R media, its cheaper.
