I have a wedding video on VHS. It is approximately 2 hours long. I captured it with these settings Video Frame Size 720 x 480, Frame Rate 29.97 fps, Bit Rate 9.00 mbps, Audio: 44100 Hz, Stereo , 16 Bits, MPEG-1 Layer II. The approximate size of this mpeg2 file is 7 Gigs which will not fit on a single DVD. How can I capture a 2 hour VHS tape with reasonable quality on a single DVD? Do I need a different capturing file format or can I convert the original 7 Gig file to fit on a DVD. Go easy with me I am just a newbie.

Encode the captured file with TMPEG and use thw wizard, you can adjust the bitrate to fit on a single DVD, but for memory 1hour 10min is the limit for best quality, do some tests. If not good enough put it on 2 discs.
