The best thing to do is to extract the DVD files from the bin file.The best tool for this(i've found)is Magic ISO Maker.

What make/model burner are you using? Firmware version?

What brand/type media are you using? Burn speed?

What format are the movies in once extracted? AVI? MPEG?

What do you mean by "when converted"? Do you mean simply extracting them or do you use something to convert to MPEG from another format?

Ok, now are you using plain old Nero to burn the file(s) or are you running them through Nero Vision Express?

What brand/type media are you using?

I'm a little afraid of what the answer might be, but are there any programs for MACINTOSH computers that will convert bin/cue files to mpg or AVI or anything like that? And if there are, are there any for joining multiple movie files together to make a seamless (or at least watchable) movie?

Please help, I just bought a really nice powerbook and I'd hate to hear that macs aren't capable of doing this stuff too.

Thanks guys.

@jeffk

I've never used a Mac so I personally couldn't tell you. Sorry :(

Hopefully someone will come along that knows :)

Are the Riteks you have branded, meaning are they RiDATA, TraxData, Arita etc? Or are they plain jane unbranded Ritek? The reason I ask is that many of the unbranded Ritek are subpar quality and can give poor results. Media quality can make a huge differece in playback quality.

Do you experience this problem with just this particular bin/cue file or do you get it with others or when you back up an original DVD?

All things considered it appears there's something about that particular file just doesn't want to cooperate. I can't really say why since I've personally only needed to do one or two conversions which means I'm not exactly a wealth of troubleshooting knowledge when it comes to these things.

This is very possible. I just downloaded the new movie "saw" and, while it plays fine on my computer and even converts fine to mpg and those mpgs play fine on my computer, it won't encode to VCD in toast or any burning program i have (toast is the mac equivelant of roxio's burning suite for pc). However i have the same .bin/.cue setup with a download of the movie "team america: world police" and it converted and encoded and burned without issue. long story short, some files just don't like to cooperate like others do. Do what i'm doing right now and just download a different rip of the movie and hope the next one works better than the last.
