Hi, I used ScubaPete's guide for DVD shrink and decrypter to copy a DVD but it won't work in my player- it says that it is incompatible with the region specified or something like that. After pressing play again I got it to work somewhat but it was jerky and had weird pixelations, then it stopped again. What could be causing this? If I am using Memorex dvd's, is that the problem? thanks

Yea, Ya see that, you use my Oooonhh so perfect guide and ya burn it on that crappy Memorex media and it's ScubaPete's fault - NOT ! ! !
First off, make sure in DVD Shrink, "Edit", "Preferences" "Target size", change it to read 4300MB. Iffin ya were using the stuff I told you to use you could have it set at 4360MB BUT NOT NOW (heh, heh, not till get you get some good stuff) -
Lastly, to try to work through that lously media, reduce your burn speed to 2.4X and see if that may help -
i tried again this time with a verbatim dvd and its still sayinf that the player is not compatible with the region marking of the disk- does this have to do with the country that you select? which country should you select to allow dvd players to play the disc?? thanks!

Are you sure the software is set to make a region free copy? The region setting in Shrink is available after you hit the Backup! tab. If it asks you for a region at any point before that just select Region 1 :)
