Your joking right. Well i suppose every one has an opinion. Nec and Liteon are the best burners available.

Yeah well i'm not gonna argue with you but its probably the best one for the money "Amazing write quality and the first DVD-Writer to support 8x DVD-R and 4x DVD-RW, at a low cost". Due to the low price we do also hand out our "Best Value" award.

I only use Plextor now. Right now I'm using a PX-712A.

Write Speed: 48X CD-R, 24X CD-RW, 12X DVD+R, 8X DVD-R, 4X DVD+RW, 4X DVD-RW
Read Speed: 48X CD-ROM/CD-R, 16X DVD-ROM

It will burn 8x DVD+R media at 12x, and 4x at 8x, if you use good media (it checks to make sure). Never burned a coaster, and I burn all my DVDs on 4x Maxell media at 8x speed right now. I belive it's about 100 bucks on the internet right now.
