Ritek G04 Media Movies aren't Playing

Hi,

I bought some Ritek G04 4x DVD-R from shoptech.

I'm using CloneDVD2 2.4.5.4 with AnyDVD 4.0.4.1 burning at 4x.

The movies will play on my computers file, but won't on the PS2.

I have got G04 media before and they were working fine, so I'm at a lost as to why they aren't working now :(

Can anyone provide any insight or opinions?

What does your KProbe/<insert test program name here> results say? Riteks usually play fine in a PS2, but sometimes get a bit wonky when the PI ratings of your burn is above 300.

For my PS2 burns, I try to keep the PI as low as possible. With Ritek G05s (Not as good as the G04s), and upgraded (Omnipatched) firmware, I now average a PI of 7, with a PIF of 0.05.

Also, there's some fake G04s going around, could just be a bad spindle.

i think i found the problem. I bought these from shop4tech and they don't have the "Ritek" logo in the center like my old ones.

Well i've ordered some more from supermedia which tell me they have the logo on theirs.

Guess I'll figure out what to do with my other 90 G04's :)
