Actually, the problem is that A DOWNLOADED COPY OF SWAP MAGIC WILL NOT WORK! the instructions you are following is for the no solder mod chip, do you even have that?

whats up everyone? Im new to this and Im looking for alittle guidance.

sly_61019 I understand what you said about the downloaded versions not booting, but I had a download of swapmagic and it is reconized by the console and reads "Please insert (blah blah) PS2 game disc. My question is will a downloaded swap magic normally get to that point or not read at all? Could it be my game backup was no good?

Also Im going to buy Swap Magic- any verison you guys recommend cause Ive been seeing 3.3 I think- and any recommendations on a reliable site to purchase it from.

Thanks alot for any help you may be able to give on this.

that is the screen saying your disc is not a ps2 disc, its not the swap magic screen.

Hi omega407,

When you do backup your games, what media do you use ?

Check them out with DVD Identifier -

actually, someone else already told you how to do it. boot action replay, pick your cheats, then insert the swap magic dvd/cd. let it load again, then swap for your backup game.

If you live in Europe you should make sure you go to somewhere like http://www.swapmagic.me.uk for your discs otherwise you won't be able to play them if you have an NTSC console.

I'v been using the flip top for some time now, and cheating with GameShark2 v2. I went a got a real copy of Action Replay Max to cheat with because there are no cheats for GS2v2 anymore. I can not load any backups if the Action Replay Max disc was in the machine. Just a blank screen after the Swaps is done to the backup. I'v also tried using cd&dvd loader, no luck.

If any one has come across this and got around it I could sure us the help, Thanks
