Hi all

just wanted to say that GTA san andreas seems to be a real problematic game to back up

it is 4.19gb in size and i've even got problems with disc reading on my pc.

I own the game but to be honest backing this game up seems to be more trouble than its worth.

The game rocks but Decrypter, alchol etc have not even dented this game.

Has anybody else had a problems with their PC.s reading this game or have i bought a funny version of GTA. San andreas ?

whats the problem here?
Its the same as backing up any other game.
Decrypter and Alcohol rip it fine.
even works with hdloader.

What drive have you got?

Hi jonjakjam

I can't even get my dvd roms to read the game disc.

It gives system redundacy error message time and time again.

Is this normal ?

yep, this one seem sto be coming down to what drive you have. My drive is the one listed below in my sig, I have had no probs whatsoever ripping this ho hum game.... I am having more fun playing fifa 2005 and drakengard :)

I would also suggest read mode at 1x if you havent done so already

good luck !

if the backup doesnt work, then just play your original, and be careful !

Hi guys

I've got a sony burner

Used decrypter loads of times.

The fact that the disc cannot be read worries me most.

Can't even get to the burn stage

hey guys
i consider the meaning of self satisfaction more than u guys.. instead of worrying about that game burning techniques, i just try to understand the fact that this game is not to be backed up, so just buy the orignal or try to forget about it!!

hm1 I hope this helps you
alochol 120 and DVD Decrypter will work
use maxwell dvd+r

thanks guys Diesel04 & Winning11
for your reply
it worked
it worked
I bought some maxwell dvd+r and I was
able to burn gta san andreas and the new mortal
kombat.
So gang I think this is the deal,
the new gta san andreaS & mortal kombat GAMES
aRE built on the dvd+r platform
because I was able to burn the game using
dvd+r MAXWELL. I WAS ABle to use verbatim
dvd + r AND MEMOREX DVD+R for gta but the games would load and error out
message would appear on the screen STATED DISC ERROR... So guys be sure to advise your peers that media is an important
part of a successful game backup.
p.s. I have over 40 successful back ups with dvd -r
MEMOREX with older games ........

IMPORTANT: NOT ALL GAMES CAN BE BACKED UP WITH DVD + R
ESPECIALLY OLDER GAMES . REMEMBER THAT DVD-R WAS THE FIRST PLATFORM OUT. SO PICK YOUR MEDIA CAREFULLY ..............FOR EVERY GAME A
DIFFERENT RULE MAY APPLY THANKS ALOT GUYS
MAXWELL DVD+R GOOD BURN FOR GTA SAN ANDREAS AND THE NEW MORTAL KOMBAT

Hey guys, I have an hp dual layer dvd burner and DVD Decrypter. I am not using Nero for burning only DVD Decrypter. I have backed up about 5 games with success and no freezing, however I backed up san andreas (using verbatim dvd+r), loads and works fine but after the mission gray imports, when I get in a vehicle it freezes and you can hear the game in the background but not playable. Please help...

My first burn of the game didn't work, it kept freezing when loading. The second one is working flawlessly. I'm using XPSP2 with LG GSA-4082B
and no-name dvd-rs. I've always used DVD Decryptor.

SPCH-39001 - DMS3
DVD Decryptor 3.5.1.0
Alcohol 120%

I made a copy of GTA SA using Ritek -R and it would freeze a lot.
Then I tried a generic +R and it seemed to work great until I got a little ways into the game, and now I'm getting all the same read disc errors.

Any suggestions on different media to try?
I just bought a bunch of Verbatim -R & +R.
Should I try those, or just go buy some Maxell?

My game freezes up a bit but that probably because of the cheats being used
