Hi Gyus
Is there a way that you can recode a avi file to vcd with Nero and if there is, is it possible to split the file..
The current file is over 1GB big so I have to split is..

Thx

You can use Nero Vision to crop the AVI file down to sections that will burn to VCD. Burn the first half to one CD, and then go back and burn the second half.

Or you can use Nero Vision To first cut the file in half, or thirds, etc, an export to AVI or MPEG format.

There are also third party software available to split AVI files.

Very simple really. :-)

Just launch NVE, and select Make CD->Video CD.
Then add your AVI file
Then select Edit Movie
Now from the Edit Window, use the slide Bar to go to the point in the Movie where you want to split it. And just click on the Icon that looks like a Movie Clip or ladder. This will split the movie, without modifying the original. In the TimeLine you will now see two movie clips.
Now just right-click on one of the clips and delete. Now you can burn to CD.
(Be sure to note exactly where the movie ends via the Numbering postitions located to the right of the split movie Icon you used so that you can return to do the same for the second half)

Regards,

Craig
