.gi= global image and was created by either prassi primo or record now, you can burn .gi files with either record now or DVD Decrypter, you usualy select the smallest file to burn and it will reassemble the image as it burns, but you say you have 8 files have you got both discs in one folder? post the image file names and i will try to tell you what files to select

Thanks for your help
I got 2 .rar files and I unpacked the first one and I have now 4 files [dmc2_dvd1.gi{2KB} , dmc2_dvd1(11).gi{2GB} , dmc2_dvd1(12).gi {2GB} & dmc2_dvd1(13).gi {394MB}] this is the first file , the second it have almost like the first but replace the *_dvd1*.gi with *_dvd2*.gi and almost the same size

ok make sure you have all 4 of those .gi files in the same folder then load up DVD Decrypter and go mode>iso>write, browse to were the file is stored and select the smallest one(dmc2_dvd1.gi) select your burn speed and click the burn button, it will automaticly reassemble the whole image file as it burns, repeat the process for the second disc

Thanks for the tip, devilhunt. I wondered what those .gi files were all about. Someone told me that they were PrimoDVD format, but that's out, since it won't detect my DVD burner. So, RecordMax or DVD Decrypter is the way to go?

Then you might as well delete the image files, because the game Devil May Cry 2 is for the PS2 only and as of yet, there is no working PS2 emulator that runs commercial games. Better luck next time.

It's not a total loss. At least I found out what programs recognize those bloody .gi files. I encountered those twice before and since I didn't know better, I used Ultra ISO and converted them to .iso format. Needless to say, none of those two games worked very well and the iso was obscenely large.
