Vision Express crashes when Xvid-fov files are added

This is strange, but Vision Express keeps crashing/shuting down only after I ADD Xvid-fov files to a project. Xvid-lol, vcd, etc., work just fine. All files are bit torrents. Can anybody explain this?
evrything is currnt and updated.

Bryan,

I found your question doing a gooble search because I had trouble playing AVI files with XVID-fov in the title--Windows Media Player would crash, or else no video would show. I finally found a version of the XVID video codec that worked on all the XVID files I had, and you can get it at http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html. Click on the second link, the one for "celtic druid" binary.
