Mortal Kombat Deception - PAL and NTSC

Ok, so I got this problem with PAL and NTSC regarding MK: D
I've read several other topics regarding this issue, and i'll list what I have already tried:

The game wont start, it just goes back to the main menu.
Duox2 chip on Avalaunch.

First of all I got this Pal Fix for the version I have. It's the NTSC version, but I have a PAL Xbox. The fix did nothing. The default.xml is the exact same size as the one I had already, so I was wondering if it had even been done anything to..

Secondly I tried to use the program Enigmah Videomode Switchdisc, and made my Xbox into NTSC. It worked, but everything is black n' white now, which kinda sucks..
Although it did root out the problem, which was the NTSC/PAL one.

Have anyone tried all this, but found a third way to get this game to work?
