well i am new at this whole burning thing, and u guys seem very intelligent. So i want to start creating backups. but every thing i read says something different about what you need. ok so i need some1 to tell me everything i am going to need to begin to burn my cds. I also do Not want to open up my ps2.

Having a modchip installed would be preferred. If you don't want to install it yourself, you could send your ps2 away to be modified, or buy a pre-modified console. Both options are available to you at www.xmodd.com. The preferred modchips are the dms and matrix infinity.

Now, for making backups, the programs you could use are DVD Decrypter for dvd backups and burnatonce for cd backups. Both are free programs. CD-Rom games are blue on the bottom and DVD-Rom games are clear on the bottom.

Using DVD Decrypter 3.5.1.0 - http://fileforum.betanews.com/sendfile/1011845169/1/SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.1.0.exe

Select Mode-->Iso-->Read to create the iso file.
Select Mode-->Iso-->Write to burn the iso file.

Using burnatonce 0.99.5 - http://62.253.162.11/burnatonce/42/bao0995.exe

Select Read/Copy-->Read to Image. Click ok and save as type ISO Image File.

Select File-->Load New Image. LOad and burn the ISO Image File.
